BechaCant
Background
The client approached us to develop a token for their mobile app, which was scheduled to launch in early April. At that time, they had already been working with another team for about a year. The first—and most difficult—challenge was helping the client realize that the previous developers were actively undermining the project. Initially, we were hired to handle only the blockchain component, but we quickly discovered that the other team had completed only a small part of their scope, resulting in significant delays and poor results.
Key goals were to:
- Develop the Token (Upgradable smart contract) via Arbitrum Blockchain
- Provide the Tokenomics
- Develop the Platform so Playmarket and App store would approve it
Tasks and challenges
The client approached us with an idea to turn boring self-development and goal-setting into an engaging social game. The main challenge was to create a platform where users don’t just track habits, but challenge themselves and their friends through “Betcha Can’t” style bets.
We needed to design mechanics that combine personal goals with social accountability and community support, and present it in a vibrant, informal interface tailored for the US market.
We also integrated social networking features to boost user engagement and encourage organic sharing among potential users.
The first – and toughest – challenge was uncovering and aligning with the client on the fact that the previous developers were actively undermining the project. We were initially hired to build only the blockchain component, but quickly discovered that the other team had completed only a small portion of their scope, with significant delays and poor results.
The second challenge was identifying the right market and product-market fit. We believe that prediction markets and “healthy” betting models can play a positive role in the future of the industry.
Another major hurdle was addressing regulatory requirements – specifically, figuring out how to get listed on the App Store and Google Play as quickly as possible while avoiding the complex approval processes typically required for betting platforms.
Finally, we faced the challenge of seamlessly combining crypto, traditional finance, betting mechanics, and app store distribution. We solved this by launching first as a PWA for rapid go-to-market, then, after achieving regulatory compliance, quickly wrapping the code into native apps and releasing them on both the App Store and Google Play.
- Design the architecture of a social platform with the ability to create public and private challenges.
- Implement social betting mechanics without real money (gamification).
- Develop a results validation system (how to prove a challenge has been completed).
- Design an activity feed with reactions and comments to encourage user engagement.
- Integrate game archetypes (“Seeker”, “Leader”) into the UX/UI to move away from the seriousness of typical to-do lists.
- Ensure fast media upload (photo/video proof of task completion).
- Implement onboarding that immediately immerses users in the game mechanics.
- Build the platform in a way that complies with Google Play and App Store requirements.
- Conduct user testing of functionality in the release version.

Solution
We created the BetchaCan’t ecosystem, where personal growth is driven by both excitement and community support. The platform allows users to launch challenges in just a few clicks, invite friends, and publicly report their results. We implemented a gamification system where completing tasks earns social recognition, and the interface features a lively, supportive tone of voice tailored for the US audience.
Key steps included:
Conducting market and project discovery to identify the right product-market fit.
Creating wireframes and UX/UI design for the project.
Developing a robust social betting solution.
Testing throughout development, followed by comprehensive regression testing and product stabilization.
- Launched a fully functional service for creating and tracking challenges.
- Implemented a betting system based on events, similar to prediction markets.
- Built a Smart Feed that shows the most relevant challenges from friends and top users.
