Custom electronic commerce web application
Background
Stark makes the most advanced electric motorcycles on the planet. They have developed the first electric vehicle that can outperform its gasoline competitor in every way except for noise.
What we had to do
- Create a website design, as well as versions for tablets and mobile devices
- Develop a constructor in which the user can customize the motorcycle on their own
- Implement an automatic cost calculation that takes into account all the details, improvements, discounts, and affiliate programs, as well as the prices of each country
- Add automatic and manual translations in over 20 languages
- Integrate third-party business services such as Trustpilot, and Power BI. For payment - Stripe, Apple/Google Pay, social networks - Instagram, Facebook, Youtube
- Implement authorization of accounts with special access. With their help, depending on the rights, the owner should have different opportunities
This project has great ambitions and requires a unique approach. Therefore, we were tasked with creating a website that provides the most understandable use. This required something non-trivial.
The client's product has many modifications and the site must take this into account. In addition, the cost of goods differs depending on the region.
As a result, the ready-made solution had to be able to select a package and display the current price for it.

What was done
Since the user experience was a priority, all efforts were directed towards this.
We have provided a fast-loading site and an intuitive interface. It was important to make the buying process as user-friendly as possible. Therefore, we paid special attention to even such small things as choosing a language and finding the nearest store.
- A geolocation API has been implemented with the display of the nearest stores
- Built-in all European currencies and several Asian ones
- Added the ability to translate text on the main page, without interacting with the admin panel
- Provided high download speed. The Google Speed index for computers was 90 and for mobile devices - 60
- Set up AWS along with autoscaling
Results
At the moment, the client receives hundreds of orders per day, placed through the site. Already in the first days of launch, the resource was visited by hundreds of thousands of users. The implemented affiliate program works effectively. It is safe to say that this is one of the most successful e-commerce projects for electric vehicles.
